Markets have some of the best activities and goods to get you in the spirit of Christmas.

In Melbourne, Queen Victoria Market is the next best thing to going to the famous Christmas Markets in Germany. Every Wednesday, starting from tonight to 27 July, put on your best ugly Christmas sweater and head to the market between 5 and 10 p.m. Enjoy a mini forest of illuminated trees, live ice sculpting, a silent Christmas disco, stilt-walking angels and roller-skating Christmas trees. Don't forget to pick up some handcrafted gingerbread as well as mugs of mulled wine, spiked Milo, or Gin Toddies.
